About

I oversee and contribute to research in the Communities & Coasts Lab and the Marine Economies & Social Systems Lab at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. I use socio-economic research methods to study coastal industries, community change, fisheries, aquaculture, and habitat management. I am particularly interested in integrating scientific research and community perspectives through interdisciplinary approaches to address complex environmental and social challenges.
