Research Interests

As a sea-going oceanographer, her research has primarily focused on ocean biogeochemical cycling. She explores phytoplankton's role in driving spatial and temporal trends in biogeochemical cycling. To better constrain production rates, she compares primary production and carbon export methods. She combines shipboard sampling, satellites and model output to help answer her research questions. Amanda is also the lab manager of the Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer lab.
