2025 Batten School & VIMS Photo Contest Winners

William & Mary's Batten School & VIMS recently celebrated the 26th anniversary of the popular Photo Contest, which recognizes the most noteworthy images captured by Batten School of Coastal & Marine Sciences & VIMS faculty, staff and students while in the field and laboratory.

Among the 203 images submitted—a record for the competition—one overall Grand Prize winner was announced by the selection committee, as well as six category winners and nine honorable mentions, all of which you can see in the gallery below.

This year's categories included "Marine Life," "People at Work," "Students," "Landscapes and Seascapes," "Aerial/Drone" and "Microscopic."
