Know Your York Watershed System - is CBNERR-VA's monthly webinar series dedicated to hot watershed topics.  Each month, we'll hear from the folks behind the State of the York Watershed System, catching up on the latest and learning where action is needed. This webinar series is designed for those who live, work and/or play in the York Watershed System and are eager to create positive ripple effects with just a DROP!

Episode 8: Vessels, discharge and the waters you can help protect

Summer is here - and with it, more opportunities to get out on the water… but are we doing it right? Sewage, graywater, bilge water, solid waste and even hazardous waste can be a part of vessel discharge and impact health, economy and environment. As recreational, research, commercial and military vessels all frequent York Watershed System waters, exploring their present and potential discharge and supporting best practices for shipping and boating can help ensure we don't limit opportunities to swim in, fish on or celebrate our shared waters.  Join us to learn the 101 on vessel discharge - what we know, and what we can do as we head out onto the water this summer. Speaker bios here
